During his professional career, the founder of Buy Global Direct has examined and evaluated countless business models and business processes. This experience, coupled with an in-depth understanding of the international markets, has proven to him that the international procurement process, as it exists today, is highly inefficient. His customer service foucus mandates, that customers should not pay for the non-value added, profit taking which exists in an inefficient process.
Based on this philosophy, the founder has set out to evolve and transform the international procurement industry, and create the most efficient international procurement process possible for his clients, through the formation of Buy Global Direct!
Mr. Stevenson holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in management information systems, and a Bachelors of Science degree with a major concentration in finance, and a minor concentration in economics. Mr. Stevenson is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to founding Buy Global Direct!, Mr. Stevenson was the managing director, and senior partner for an operating subsidiary, and the parent group of ServiceMaster, a Fortune 350 multi-service company, with annual revenues in excess of $6 Billion. Mr. Stevenson was responsible for strategic planning, business process improvement, and mergers and acquisitions. In that capacity, he developed and purchased over $1.3 billion in revenue and established 4 new platform service businesses. Mr. Stevenson also had direct executive management responsibilities for overseas operations in Japan, Australia, Korea, Singapore, and the Middle East.
Prior to ServiceMaster, Mr. Stevenson spent 5 years with Deloitte & Touche, a "big-five" international consulting and accounting firm, as a business consultant and in the firm's financial statement attestation segment.
